Default Re: Thanks Tony-

Unfortunately, not. The sender hole is about 2 inches, at best. The second layer inside the tank covers most of that screen as well. And, the rust is stuck to it pretty well. I tried with a blower backward as well, also with no luck. I have pics of the last one I did, I can send them to you directly if you'd like.

Default Very nice!

It's great seeing someone restoring an older 4000! My '83 is probably my favorite car to drive out of the whole stable.

Since I picked up the A4, I've toyed with the idea of selling the 4E, but I just can't let go of it, its way too cool!

Default It won't be that bad

I've been studying the 4k after pulling the head off. Much better than the A6. At least the tranny is lighter!

Default Thank you! I'll no doubt need a couple of things.

After the first of the year, I'm going to be looking for L and R frt headlight housings, and L and R rear window regulators.

I think I have enough stuff to do, to last me until then.

My email: whitfound07@bellsouth.net. If you email me, please put "audiworld" or "AW" in the header... I'm pretty ruthless about deleting email I don't recongnise.

Thanks, Again.

Default Keep it! That 4E is a rare bird these days.

I'm going to store the '86 for awhile, in the same place as the '84 was kept. Maybe I'll get over my dismay on this car one day......

Default Wow.

Nice looking project Ray. I hope you take good pics along the way, because I would've loved to do what you're doing, but as you know, I only got as far as the motor. I'm glad to see another old Audi staying on the road.
