I cleaned a bit
Met up with some car guys so I cleaned under the hood a bit, nothing special. I did get my manual boost controller. Now all I need are some fittings and a chipped ECU, and Im ready to go. I dont think I'll get the BPV done in time for Carlisle, though.

put in new spring in wastegate, swapped in trunk lid liner from a V8q, painted and prepped....
bpv piping for install. Put on 034 motorsport crankcase adaptor pipe to be used with a crankcase catch can. Debated installing a manual boost controller, still on da fence about that. Ordered a billcatz short shift kit today as well (birthday self-indulgence).

What ECU are you running?
Just curious. What are your thoughts on running a manual boost controller? What are the pros/cons?
Ive got the boxerfan WG spring, just wont install it until I get a chipped ECU.

running a 2bennett chipped ecu, most of my mods are in my long sig Mike......
I just installed Boxerfan's spring in last night..... what a difference, but now I'm hitting the fuel cut-off, so Boxer recommended r-moding so it fools the ecu and I don't the cut-off. The thing I'd like with the manual boost controller is being able to adjust the boost as I'm on the road, I'd run it directly into the car so I can monitor the boost with the boost gauge on mounted on the dash.
what ecu you thinking of going for? QLCC? One of Natrix's chips?
Can't wait to see your engine swap at Carlisle.

For now Im looking for a cheap upgrade, like a QLCC chip. I have a lead on one, but we'll see what happens. Im very new to the turbo game and modifying these things, so Im gonna have lots of newb questions at Carlisle

I asked my son if the 4kq was still running.
It's still 600 miles away in the frozen tundra. It's rusting at a steady rate, leaking oil from the valve cover, loosing clearcoat with each day of exposure to the elements as it sits outdoors in the snow. I did buy a new bottle of Zymol and put it near the buffer in anticipation of getting the car back on the 26th!!!
