Kostal Wiring

Kostal Wiring
The end of my kostall connector looks like this and i m having trouble wiring it up. Swapping Audi 200 10v MC2 into a Stripped out bare metal 4000.
I do not have a stock fuse box i have made my own with rocker switches that are fused. I have switches controlling fuel pump , starter , and ecm power.
The end of my cable looks like this.
I know I have to do the following to get her fired up.
Pin 14: ECU ground for fuel pump relay. Connect to fusebox pin BS.
Pin 9: Switched +12v for ISV controller. Connect to a handy source of ignition switched +12v. I used the "spare" fuse #24 as the stock 4kq computer did.
Pin 11: Trigger wire for fault code sequence. Connect to fusebox pin ILa and also to the ground side of your check engine light.
Pin 4: Cold start valve ground. The ecu uses this to trigger the CSV. Connect to the CSV and provide the valve with switched +12v.
I have check continuity of the wires from the red male connector above to the ecm and seem to only found the cold start valve & 12+ primary for ecm.
Anyone have any advice how to narrow down what belongs to what ?

That's probably the only thing I think I've never seen documented... I planned to add it to my swap information if I ever ran across one, but so far I haven't. The "real" kostal connector is much easier. I'll have to think about how you can figure out which wire is which.
You can most likely forget about the CSV wiring (pin #4), since it should have a CSV connector integrated into the red harness (only the early cars had it separate). But double check.
Also note that the "Digitalnoise" guide that you quoted from is for the MAC-11 ECU, and you should have a MAC-14. There are some differences in the ECU pins:

http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/troubl...out.html#fourt
My advice would be just to find the pin you need on the ECU connector and probe continuity to the red/white connector that you have. It'll help to get the wire color from the first link.

So far I have found the following
FOUNDPin 14: ECU ground for fuel pump relay. Connect to fusebox pin BS.
Pin 9: Switched +12v for ISV controller. Connect to a handy source of ignition switched +12v. I used the "spare" fuse #24 as the stock 4kq computer did.
FOUND Pin 11: Trigger wire for fault code sequence. Connect to fusebox pin ILa and also to the ground side of your check engine light.
FOUND Pin 4: Cold start valve ground. The ecu uses this to trigger the CSV. Connect to the CSV and provide the valve with switched +12v.
I cant find the wire to power up the ISV no idea how to find this one.
Also is theres the only wires needing to be connected other than the 4 above , ECM main power , ECM grounds to have this car running.
Thats all I have connected and i mean nothing else i have no other wires or fuse box.
Thanks
Mick
