Default CV boot replacement #2..... DONE!

I did the passenger side. A lot quicker the 2nd time around. Now I just need a new pass side ball joint (boot apparently ripped awhile ago) and a lock nut to hold the pitch bolt since my supply seems to have gone missing. I'm reusing the old one until my order comes.

I also got to use my new toy (a torque wrench, XMas gift), boy is it nice to know if the nuts and bolts are "tight enough". Now I just have to fix that stupid door handle.

Default Work plus Audi repairs

A day in work on Sunday, so I've been working on my CQ today instead. Remove the Steering lock housing (bearing and ignition barrel goosed). Also cahnged one of the front ABS sensors.

Default Replaced the 7.5 year old battery in CGT with the 4 year old battery from urq.

After all the 83 CGT is my daily driver now. I rarely drive these cars so the batteries don't get much heat or vibration, so they last. Battery had a sticker - March 00.
I put the 7.5 year old battery in the urq and fired it up to make sure those 2 oil filters I put on last week weren't leaking, along with the coolant change i did last month.

Default Two Items...

1. Remove the push rod on the brake vacuum assist. It's been driving me nuts since I bought the car 2 months ago. DONE (and huge difference, thank you).

2. Oil and Filter change (Sunday morning).
