Uhh... I started filing when I was 16... how young are you??? Or maybe unemployed?
Either way your supposed to file unless your under 18 & claimed 0 taxeable income for last year.

i started when i was 15. i got a bigger refund than my parents could for claiming me...
beside, i paid for most my stuff. if your parents claim you, do you still have to file? i think he may not have to if his parents are filing with him as a dependant.

Even if your claimed you still file...
If you have taxeable 0 income and are claimed as a dependant then you can forego doing your taxes. But if he has any taxeable income he will still have to file, even when claimed as a dependant.
