First was an S-10 Blazer, then a VW fox. Then had a volvo 242GT that I dropped a turbo engine in
Then an 8V Saab 900, then a 16V 900 turbo. After that, got my first 4000Q, another 4000Q and now an S4. I'd still like to get a saab 900 SPG and also restore a 78 volvo 242GT like my dad gave me.

Nope, I didn't drive over there to take the picture...
but it's not far from some of my projects. He must mean a different Stude than the electric car, because that would have had to have been built in South Bend - Mike's neck o' the woods.

92 Saab 9000 was US Spec...military sales in the UK
While I was stationed in the UK, there was a local sales rep near the base that took factory orders for service members. Pretty good deal...order what you wanted, ferry to Sweden to pick it up...ferry back to the UK and drive the car until it was time to return to the states. When assigned back the US, I drove it to a shipping company in London, dropped it off and then picked it up in California a month or so later. I think shipping was included in the deal. Less than 20K for the 9000s...think I saved about 4K off the US sticker price at the time.

The TR7 was my very first car ever...
Bought it with a blown 5-speed. Never actually managed to get the car driveable. A new or rebuilt tranny back then would have killed me. I tinkered for a while and then spun it off to another TR-7 guy.
Secretly I still dream of shoving a Buick GN 3.6L Turbo in one. ZOOM!
The Spitfire was trouble free. Gutless but trouble free. Crazy low kms... 42,000 iirc. fun car but the ex wouldn't drive it after I bought it for her (how does that Buck Cherry tune go? ... "Crazy Bi...") LOL.
