Default It's not the cops you have to worry about, its emission tests...

...in Mass they are strict. Fortunately most technicians only care about your beam placement and not what kind of headlight your running.

You wanna sell it or give me a part #? I'd be interested.

Default Certain States allow them, others don't...I've had a cop literally eye-to-lens with my RS2's

And he could have cared less about them (in Indiana).

I had another cop in Ohio do a similar thing when my relays were acting up. Again, he didn't care.

Since the areas I live in both States do not have any emissions testing or anything resembling that, I really don't have to worry. My insurance agent has even seen my car several times, and can't believe that he used to own it ;-)

Default Re: Well...

Bah...I can heel-toe my roommates '97 A4tq. Don't like his shifter, shouldn't have put a short-shift in it. His isn't soft anymore, Bilsteins and Neuspeed Race springs, 17" Team Dynamics, 986 front brakes, APR chip, cat-back.

But, in stock form it is too soft, I will agree there. Steering is over boosted, brakes are overboosted, clutch too light. The brake upgrade fixed much of the pedal feel, and a clutch upgrade (he's planning on that as his is now slipping with 90k on the clock with 30k of hard driving) will help the clutch pedal feel.

Default You can heel-toe with some adjustments....

I measured it and the pedals are quite a bit farther apart than the "older" cars. I have to tilt my foot in order to cover both pedals in the A4 and my wife's Jetta. Sometimes I roll my foot over and completely miss the accelerator if I'm not thinking.

I recently bought a 2000 A6Q and would like to know more about headlight and tail light conversions. I prefer the Euro look, but don't know where to start?
