Default airbox fun :)

the hose on my air box has become weather cracked i believe it is the one for the cold air but i could be wrong i have a picture from one on a volvo but it looks the same if i chose to run a cone filter off of the (see link) where should i route it?<ul><li><a href="http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g30/jadewombat/injection-1.jpg">click me !!!!</a></li></ul>

Default Yes, CIS airbox bottom from a volvo turbo... junkyard upgrade ;)

But, there is a problem. The position that the CIS is oriented in the 4kQ would put a cone filter in to the headlight assembly. Having said that, you could always route some tubing and get a true CAI with a filter down in the fender well or something...

that was my plan im just thinking about how i am going to the canadian weather out of the filter?

Default volvo huh,, i rigged my air box with a small K&N knockoff filter, but i think it robbed .....

me of power plus i dont have the car right now lol

LOL...I'm running that Volvo lower half...but the metering assembly needs to be flipped around so that the plate is near the headlamp, requiring some bending of the feed/return fuel lines, reorganizing the injector lines, and custom mounting brackets...but it can be done! Sounds nice too! And no more dealing with the stock airbox when changing filters...sigh of relief...

you could Tig weld a box and then run like piping to the grill for a acone filter and CAI
