Default What's Santa bringing you for Christmas?

Since most of us are gear heads, whatcha guys getting yourselves for Christmas?

Tool-wise?

Toy-wise?

Other?

Tool: I'd like to pickup one of those bridge style valve spring compressors because it seems I'm always needing one....and I sort of have a rule: If I borrow it more than once, I need to buy it.

Toy: Been looking for a nice all black leather motorcyle jacket (sport bike) w/ armor, for years and years (something without all the graphics and logos). I'm small, so finding my size in "real" gear is next to impossible. But found a real nice Hein-Garrick a few weeks ago.

Other: Finally got a blue tooth capable phone, so an ear piece is next (for driving).

Default As far as valve spring compressors go...

I built one of these and it has worked beauty on all VW 2 valve/cyl heads thus far. Never tried it on a 4 valve.

http://www.pureluckdesign.com/vw/vsc/index.htm

Works very well, and is cheap and easy to make. Like $20 bucks in material from home depot.

Edit: Fixed it to the proper link.

Default One HDHCHTDD...

That's a Hard Dog Hard Core Hard Top Double Diagonal. Which is a roll bar for the Miata.

As for bluetooth earpieces... every one I've tried has sucked. I would go for a speaker style handsfree kit instead.

Default Motorcycle jacket huh? I've got a sweet Teknic, all black, all the armour, no crazy logos

I'm 6'1", 215 lbs, though. I have no idea what they make for little fellas. Think I only paid about $200 for it though. I love it and recommend the brand.
