Default Wanted: Black oval fender AUDI badge

I heard a clunk like something hit the car while I was driving. I stopped thinking it was a tire... Tire was fine, but I'm missing the fender badge! FAWK! The chrome backing plate is still there, but the black oval badge is gone. All that's left is some brown glue that looks like it was brushed on.

My plan is to wait till it's warmer out, then JB weld the oval logo back on after I scuff it up a little bit with sandpaper. Any reason why that wouldn't work?

Default May be easier to just replace the small trim piece with the logo on it...

I have these from my parts car but plan to sell all the mid-door trim as a set...

Default Probably easier/simpler to find the whole trim peice.

But once I did epoxy the logo onto one of my cars and it worked fine to this day, been about 4 years.

Yeah, you're right, ideally I'm looking for a busted up fender with intact badge

Default Re: might want to check Force5

I just bought a couple of them from them. I was thinking the same thing that I would need to whole trim piece (my logo pieces are still there, but the black fell off). They pointed out to me that you can just carefully pry out the old one and glue the new one in etc...

Default I need one of these badly too

I just bought a 1996 Cabriolet. I'm assuming this is the same badge. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If someone can find one for me, I'll gladly pay since it seems impossible to find.

You dug up an old thread but: yes. This is a super-common badge. Call around local yards, any one with an Audi should have at least one badge you could pry off. It was free with my other parts purchase the last time I was at the yard.
