For me, at 100k, the wonderful Audi needs all, yes, all meaning everything, involved with front end suspension, needs to be replaced.

Of the 53 automobiles I have owned and driven, NONE have ever required even remotely close the needs this A6 needs for it's mileage. Parts are over $1600. for the front end... I'm stuck.........bad choice of car, will never-ever-ever own an Audi again!

will make a huge difference and can be done by a shop reasonably, look at my post above, under $300. My car has the same mileage as yours, I doubt yours has much worse wear than mine unless it's been driven on terrible roads its whole life.
Shop around and you'll save a lot of money, don't go with the first quote you hear for work, especially from a dealer!
