Rear speakers wont work....
Well I got around to putting a cd player in the A6.. but just my luck the back speakers wont work.. not even a crackle so Im guessing its a power issue... I know and check i hooked up all the wires correctly so any suggestions on where I ****ed uP?

Do you have the rear amplified speakers because the amp is the common connection between the two
rear speakers. If you lost power to the rear amp or blown fuse you wouldn't have either rears.

did they work when you had another player in
Cause i know when i had my factory gamma in they worked fine. Now with my wiring harness i get nothing from them. I believe i have to find somone to rewire everything for me.

Re: Rear speakers wont work....
slap an ohm meter on them and check their impedance...should be 4 ohm...if so should work...if they are 1 ohm be careful...i know bose uses 1 ohm and those will fry the deck...if you have an amplifier(usually mounted in trunk under deck) bypass it and run the line straight to the speakers...should work

Re: Rear speakers wont work....
Apparently it´s not uncommon that the wire between the connector on the speaker ond the coil inside the speaker is bad. The solution is to solder a new wire. Worked perfectly on my car.

Re: Rear speakers wont work....
Thanks for this info.We have a 92 100CS wagon and only one front right speaker worked and all the tweeters when we bought it.Fussed about the radio coding until I read about this wire connector. It worked very well and the sound is quite acceptable.Thankyou.
