Passenger Mirror does not always go down when car in reverse

Passenger Mirror does not always go down when car in reverse
This car only has the passenger mirror go down in reverse about 2% of the time, does anybody know how to fix it?

Check to see if the reverse lights turn on.
It's probably the transmission multi function switch which isn't cheap or easy to replace.
Don't forget that the passenger mirror button must be depressed for that function to work.
