Default Ok, it finally got the best of me.

Who knows what this tool is for??

It's in every factory tool kit I've seen and I've never found an use it.

It looks like it could be some kind of center cap removal tool, but there's no place to stick it on any of my caps.

On my '92 100, the owner's manual indicates this tool is for removing the wheel covers (hub-caps) for those early cars without allow wheels.

Default Sounds reasonable

I'm not sure why they continued to include the tool with cars that have alloy wheels. I thought I looked in my 94 owners manual a while back and didn't see anything about it. I never checked my 92 manual.

It's for removing the lug bolt covers. Way I heard it from someone who's been around Audi's forever, is that instead of using pliers and mucking up the plastic use that tool. Not sure if that's correct or not.
