Default Is it me or do others have this happen.

I have seemed to notice that when I have been driveing my car for awhile that it gets a slopy feeling, like the hrothle response will get soft and slopy. I noticed it big time when I went to NJ yesterday and was driveing on the parkway and then hit traffic. Do others feel this.

Default I'm diggin' your Avant.

The transmission puts itself into economy mode. To bring it back alive, depress the accelerator pedal quickly once. You don't need to go all the way down to the kick-down switch. Just give it a quick snap, you'll feel the transmission wake up.....then get back on the gas. You're now in Sport mode and it'll be lively again.

It has 5 "maps" and adaptive learning, so it's always trying to figure out what map your driving still fits into at the moment.

Enjoy!

ps. If you have an owner's manual, it talks about this, that's how I learned it.

Well ok, I heard about the map thing but didn't think it was that selective. I have an owners manual but its for an A4. Thanks.

Default Ah jeez, a group hug for the Ivory metallic crowd. Agree on the sport mode thingy, my car...

sometimes gets in the economy frame of mind (though my mileage doesn't seem go up...)and is less lively around town.

Default I had the same complaint about ours when we first bought it.

I described it the same way.....it was like the gas pedal just melted into the floor and the did nothing other than make a little extra intake noise. I'd be almost floored before it would shift, or do anything remotely like making power.

The quick blip of the gas pedal cured it.

Someone else here suggested just pulling it back into third. I've tried that to and it works great.

But it's the blip of the throttle that gets you ratcheted back into Sport Mode.
