Course you'll pay for it but its worth it.
I am not sure if they make such tools but samstag should and I recall they are still German made?

Hard to justify $400+ for a tool you might use twice in your lifetime.
It's one thing if you're a professional tech and are doing a wheelbearing or 2 every month or so. It's another thing be a DIYer and need it/use it a couple times....that's where the HF version thrives.

just to add,, this tool is only a bunch of steel spacers and a bolt, not a precision tool..
you could accomplish the same results with a old bearing or something similar if the diameter was close.
So how do you justify 3 or 4 times the price for stamped steel, the weakest link is the large bolt and if that breaks just pick up a hardened steel bolt from the hardware store for about 5 bucks maybe less.

I found it to have correctly sized parts and that big bolt appears pretty stout.
So far, having used it only once, I'm happy with the quality and fit. I put some anti-seize compound on the bolt threads, used my biggest breaker bar AudiLogic mentioned, and it worked great on the VW Rabbit front wheel bearings I was doing.
