Default follow up to the 92 100S winter project car i picked up

the guy i bought it from said it had no spark, i figured CPS, no big deal, then i also dicovered a wire harness with 4 wires dangling in the engine compartment and i couldn't get under the car to trace it's location. The car sat in my driveway for 2 months, i just trailered it to the shop and start looking at it to determine where the wire goes and check the cps (which is good).

so i call the guy up and check with him again to find out what happened to the car. He said he was driving it and then it all of a sudden died. I know whats coming so i get off the phone, pull off timing belt covers and see the timing belt is broken.

now the winter project is turning into more than a project than i wanted to take on. time to either part it out or shop for a used head.

Most likely 2 heads! Same thing happened to a car I bought ! I parted it out!! But if want a driver and car pretty decent you can prob slap some new valves in and ya got a driver!

Default if it goes to parts and they're nice...

i'm in for the low mounted foglight assemblies and as much foglight wiring harness as you can come up with... i feel a retrofit for the '98 avant coming on. good luck either way. rob.

Default It is not that bad. It cost me $450 for the valves, timing belt, head bolts, head gasket, intake

gasket and four hours of work.

Default And is it an Avant by any chance? What color interior? Auto or Manual?

I'm looking for the climate control display. Also, if it is a platinum interior, I'm looking for the rear door speaker covers. If it's an Avant, I'm also looking for the cargo area cover and cargo net. If it's a manual, I could use the shift linkages, shifter assembly, shift boot and trim.

Default the car is a 92 100S fwd 5 speed sedan, i'm in CT and i haven't

decided yet what i will do with the car. I can part it out, sell it whole, the prev. owner will take it back, or i can try to fix it. I have a car trailer and can move/transport it if neccesary too. either way i'll decide in the next week what i'll do i'll post an update
