Default With a bit of recent chatter about ignition switches I'm sad to report that...

mine seems to be giving me a few problems as well. Before my trip I noticed a distinct notchiness in putting in and taking out the key. Around the same time my remote locking started acting up, could the two be related?
Now that I'm back it's become more noticable.
Hmmm....me thinks a trip to the dealer for a good switch might be in order.

Default Glad to be in good company, I just had the most intense ignition switch failure ever...

Last night, after arriving at school, I parked my car. About an hour later I came out to move it, and the key made a weird CRUNCH when I turned it. And moved a bit too far. Now I can start the car, but I need to hold it on the "on" position to keep it running, because it springs back to off. Oh, and I can't remove the key.

I'm probably going to make a wooden set piece short term which will hold the key in place, and then I'll do a more permanent thing (like fix it).

Boohiss!

$30 at the dealer will fix it. Get on it, Fuzz.

But you drove into the dealership in your Bentley so they charged you more...
