Battery terminal connector question
The 92 100 CS that I picked up needs some wires cleaned up and the "cancer" removed from them. I noticed the wires at the battery terminal get very warm, almost hot. I could also see burnt insulation and very worn cooper wires. I'll be going through and cleaning the connections on the starter and alternator tomorrow.
Could some of you recommend where to pick up a good quality battery terminal that's made out of brass please. I mainly just use the ones at an auto store, but with all the electronics in this car I figure it would be best to use a higher grade connector. Also if it's possible could someone tell me what gauge those three wires are that are connected to the battery terminal.
I'm not positive what size they are, and I currently don't have the car at home to be able to check. Trying to save myself an extra trip back into town before I head off to start working on this.
