Here's how it's gone so far for me over the past 30 days:<br>1. I drove a 2.8 Auto: Coming from a 911(summer car) and a BMW, I felt it was a little soft.<br>2. I drove a 1.8Turbo: Same as above. Not as nose-heavy.<br>3. I drove a 1.8T Sport Auto: Big difference in suspension. Now I'm starting to like it, but I didn't like the multiple interface: two buttons on the wheel to shift, plus the Porsche style gated shifter on the floor was a bit too busy for me. <br>4. I drove a 1.8TSport 5 speed: Wow, this is the car for me.<br>5. Now, dealer, find me a blue, silver or volcano black for $1,500 over and we've got a deal.<br>6. (2 weeks ago) Dealer agrees and finds a couple silvers he hopes to swap, but dealers won't swap.<br>7. This AM I was near the dealer and ran thru his lot... down to just a couple A4s, nothing new. My guess is the 99.5 changeover has put a serious kybash(sic) on supply. I'm now surrendered to waiting for the 99.5. I seriously hope that this happens before 2/15/98, because, if not, I'll just wait for spring and my summer ride, and I'm gonna wait until the fall. Jeesh, I've put a lot of effort into this purchase and nothing's happened yet.<br>
