Well I had a great trip up into the Canadian Rockies with mostly clear and sunny days. Equipped with Pirelli 210As I had no real problems. All the roads were at least icy. From Jasper, on the way back the conditions got much worse with a couple of inches of snow on the highway. When the road formed icy grooves in the snow the car seemed to slip in the hardened ice grooves. Not much one can do about that( Do studded or ice tires help there?? ). When nearing the US border we ran into freezing rain with ice/slush on the road. It felt a little slippery at anything above 30mph(Do ice tires feel different? ). Otherwise, I'm glad I got the tires and they provided more than adequate traction for the conditions we faced. Coupled with the fact that they run great in the dry, I'm happy.
One problem, because of all the rocks a passing truck caused a chip in my windshield. Can it be smoothed out?? -- it's not a crack(yet). I also scratched one of my wheels. What can I do about that ??
Thanks.

Check the FAQ for fixing wheel scratches. It's possible you might be able to do something about it, but if it's too deep, the specified method may not help..
Good luck.
-Ash 98.5 Silver 1.8TQMS (with a gouged rim! not easy to fix)
