Two items which I've been having difficulty in my 99.5...the rearview mirror is different than in 99 and previous and does not completely engage into night mode(the manual is no help becuase it hasn't been updated for the 99.5 changes). Also where they moved the cigarette lighter(down next to the parking brake was a bad idea...if you don't completely replace the plug in the socket and close the mechanism, it won;t open up. Unless you force it like i did, causing the plug to drop somewhere into the center console...great.
So I dropped the car off this morning at my dealer...i had their first 99.5 and I they looked at me like I was stupid when I told them the friggin' mirror didn't work...apparently they havn't serviced any yet. Anyway, I know that the mirror and lighter has been the subject of a few other posts so I will update, when they figure out what the heck they are doing. In the meantime I've got my new ECU back from neuspeed and want the car so I can install it.....
sorry wrong coast (outside dc) I am chipping on thursday with neuspeed. i have been reading the comments on the forum for several months now and have come to the conclusion that all of the chips present significant improvments in performance. I am planning to keep the car for a long time, and therefore I went with the most conservative reprogram(the same chip as avaliable from greedspeed) I beleive it is comparable to hoppen's in boost. Once I get a few miles on the car, and the warranty expires, then I'll be ready to do something more drastic like a a k04 turbo or perhaps that new pes supercharger that's supposed to come out soon...
