My buddy owns a VR6 GTI and he had the same complaint. He installed a set of VW guards and used plastic hardware, to prevent corrosion. The orig. VW install instructions actually supplied metal screws. and required drilling, he did NOT do that and has a very successful finished product. I am curious if the A4 could be tackled the same way. Check the local VW dealer and look at their stock. They are small and lo-profile.<br>
