I think it's worth informing everyone on The Forum (again) that IF YOU ORDER A 99.5 AUDI AT TODAY'S PRICE, YOU WILL BE LOCKED IN AT TODAY"S PRICE IF THERE IS A PRICE INCREASE between the time you give your dealer the deposit and the time your car arrives. Beware: if you don't give your dealer a good-faith deposit when you order a car, he could be a prick and bump you up to the new price, and you'd have no grounds to bitch. I'm not saying that I don't order and/or locate cars for customers w/o a $$$ deposit, but in this particular circumstance, you'd be safer w/dollars as a deposit.

Jim--<p>Is this an AoA policy that all dealers should be aware of, or is one at the mercy of the specific dealership when the car is delivered?<p>Also, for cars that are now on order, will there be any opportunity to specify options that weren't available for the '99s? Specifically, I'm thinking about upgraded side airbags, but are there others, as well?<p>--John
