This was the oil that according to a previous post (around 8/98) that had a link to a racing mag's dyno test of oils did about the best, esp. for the price (the other two I noted were Mobil 1 0w40 and Royal Purple, but I couldn't find them either). Anyway, I had to take my car in for service and let them put whatever Audi puts in the cars instead because I couldn't find it and did not want the Mobil 1 5w30--closest I could find.

I can find Mobil 1 at the local auto parts store, but the best price I've found is buying it at KMart (usually .50 to .75 cheaper per quart)!<p>FYI, you can get the dealer to put in synthetic oil at your service, but you will have to pay for the oil -- at the dealer's price $$$ . 5w50 synthetic actually has a greater load of extenders (more emissions), so it is not a part of their US product line.<p>There are a couple other brand 5w40's out there for the US market. I'm a big fan of Mobil 1 after using a couple of competitors products. The specs for 5w30 and 10w30 are amazing and will suffice for everything but endurance racing in Arizona, IMHO. (I can even back this statement up)

If I remember correctly LCP is in Australia or NZ. It might be alittle bit different for him to get Mobil One. I could be way off here as well. I got mine at Walmart (anybody ever seen a Walmart Store?) :-)<p>Steve S.<br>97 2.8QM<br>

Some guy pulled in next to me in a C230, and was gawking at my 90Q! He then started to walk away just as I pulled away. Once I accelerated, I think the Scorpion exhaust got his attention, because he turned around and looked again. I'd like to think he was jealous, because my car can be bought for around $8K, has leather, performs better, and sounds better than his C230. :-)<p>
