Well, to everyone's undying question, I have fitted 6.5" speakers in the rear doors for a standard audio system. There is room, just barely to do it with MBQuart 6.5" coaxial speakers, and an adapter ring I bought at the stereo store. There are 3 mounting posts for the speaker already as the door panels are the same for the Bose and non-Bose systems. Order a couple of speaker grilles for the Bose system. I got them for $15 each at the dealer. I used a dremel tool to cut through the door, worked great. Drilled through the spots for the grill mounting points (it becomes evident once the panel is removed) and used some metal clips to keep it from falling off. Probably didn't need them as the grill seemed pretty secure without them. Maybe a BOSE owner could tell us how they are attached on the backside....
If anyone needs any more tips feel free to email me. I installed a great 400 watt system with 6x9s in the rear deck, 5.25" Mb quart in the front, one 12" sub and two amps.
Upside down on the rear deck. I know this is controversial, but I will see. Stereo shop said no problem. A lot has to do with the design and how hard you drive the amp as well. So far no problem though with heat
