All right all you Auto Xers and High Performance Driving enthusiasts. Almost every article I read about test drives with the A4 (and other cars) give mention of the test driver mashing the brake pedal and letting the ABS chatter away into a turn. I have consistently faster track times when I threshold brake rather than letting the computer do the work. I definetly set my braking points later, but maybe I give the ABS a few extra yards just because I don't trust it to do the job?! Is this just me or do others find this to be true?

I autoXed this sunday and let the ABS do the trick, lap times were great. As far as i am concerned, it is one less thing to think about while planning the next turn.
