I've never owned an Audi and am considering a '99.5 A4 (1.8) but am not sure about the power/performance. I'm not too excited to pay the extra $4k+ for the 2.8, but have considered a chip (Wetterauer for example). Is there anyone in the LA/Orange County, CA area who has a 1.8 with a chip and willing to share their thoughts?
Comments much appreciated!
Thanks.
Hey Eric:
I own a 2.8, but you should search the archives for chip info. There are many, many
1.8 owners on this board who are chipped. I'm sure there's several in your area.
Chip questions show up here every day, so 1.8 owners get kind of tired of answering
them.
CHeck the archives to learn what you can, then maybe post a more specific question
if you still have one..
btw - the wetterauer site is www.chip-tuning.com
Neal 98.5 2.8qm(all but sport)
