This is one of the nicest front spoiler implementations I've seen yet for the A4. It doesn't scream aftermarket, yet it's agressive in a nice way. There are a few other pics off the link below. The kit is made by a company called Nowak Design. Anybody ever heard of them or know anything about their rep? Also, anybody ever dealt with VW Sport USA, who is selling them? Are they on the level?
Thanks and happy holidays to all!
Jim S.
98 2.8qms

Nowak Design page at vw sport

Personaly I don"t like the design of the front bumper... It doesn't reallt flow with the rest of the car. I think the A!Advntgarde S system looks better.. What I really like from this car is the Sport mirrors, looks better tham the LLtek and Advantgarde.
Dmak 1.8TQMS

i agree. the front bumper is the business, albeit, a little odd. but perhaps that's why i like it.

It is one of the less disastrous stylings, but it does not improve on the original. Of all the things to change on an A4, appearance is not one of them. Take the rear spoiler, for example. Makes it look like some tarted-up thang from the Land of the Rising Sun. If you feel the urge to create, go paint a picture or something, but leave your poor A4 alone.

I have delt with them on numerous occassions. They painted my lower valences to match the body color of my A4 and they installed my Koni/H&R suspension. They do a great job and are an up and coming Audi tuner that deals on the high end of modifications. They do do lesser projects such as old and new VW GTI but I have seen a race modified 91 M3 and of course their Silver Projektzwo A4. I can recommend them highly.
Chris

my A4 page

Every REAL enthusiastm in the VW community hates VWSPORT. People say that they are the equivalent of a riceboy for German cars. All they care about is looka. Big rims and the 'dropped' look. They dont even know how to change a set of sparkplugs. I heard that all of their work(real engine work) is done by someone else, or something like that. I guess they are alright if all you are buying is a body kit. I recommend you do a search in dejanews for Vwsport. People are always complaining about them in the vw forum.
Later,
AlexG

Jim,
That front spoiler on the pic is NOT made by Design Nowack, unless Nowack very recently has bought the maker of it. The company is called Charactere, and is either Belgian or Dutch, can't quite remember.
Charactere is known to only make high quality stuff, and not change their design over the years.
Anyway, Ive seen it on 2 A4s in Germany last year, and it looks much better in real life. The integrated fogs are really nice. Also, there are good (prepared) air ducts, both for (possible) dual intercoolers and to the brakes.
Very nice kit all in all with the Cup wheels, and the lowering on the pic.
HTH
Joe M
'98 A4 Avant T

I have 2 tuners near me, EIP and VWS. VWS is much better to deal with, nice people and they actually do care about you, well i think they do. EIP is jsut plain horrible in every aspect!!!!! SO when someone can give me some other options this is what I have to live with. I am fine with VWS. As for their wrk, tehy do contract out lots of work due to the fact that they are not a garage, more like a distributor, but as long as the work is done right I could care less. But the shops they do contract out to are first rate, wagonwerks for body kits and Porsche pitstop for mechanical. Now why does the supposed VW community hate them?
Chris

I couldn't agree with Chris more.. not only did they scratch bvoth of our sets of wheels while mounting the tires, they used about 4 weights per wheel in different locations! If it's done right, you balance a wheel with one or two weights.
EIP's claim to fame is they now have a dynojet..
I like going to VWS, the guys are nice, but they're just expensive!
Rich Quinlan

Quinland

My initial impressions: A Mistubishi Ecliplse with a touch of an A/C Cobra that somehow ended up on an A4. And for god sakes, why ruin the rear end look with that spoiler (guess the name implies the same thing.) I'd bet that the rear deck is the one thing an A4 enthusiast would leave alone; it's what gives the A4 it's character.
However, the implementation as far as this pic is concerned, is very clean and well done. Just my $ 0.02.
HermanH
98.5 Passat 1.8tm

So, tell me. Why do they suck? Have you had any personal dealings with them? It sounds like you're going on what "others" say and what you've heard. Have you ever been to their shop? They put the K04 turbo upgrade on my a-4, in their shop, and with incredible attention to detail. And the car screams now. They also have worked on my wife's Jetta and my M-3. You should be a little more responsible before you make statements like yours.
