I am considering putting the V1 remote indicator module where the cup holder is (99.5). Anybody try this yet?

I know its lower than cup holder.
I haven't bought my V-1 yet.
Damn Taxes and swift wife not claiming low enough left us (read as I pay) holding the bag.
less than pleased....

I mounted mine at the bottom center of the cluster. If I had an automatic, it would block the gear indicator, but nothing there to block with a manual.
This keeps it somewhat straight ahead of me, meaning less time with my eyes off the road. Anyone looking in thinks it's simply part of the instruments.

Too far down to be handy, do you have the storage compartment where the fog switches are? It would look cool there.
CJL

The 99.5 cupholder next to the fog lights sounds like the perfect place. If you give it a try, please post your results, as I may want to follow suit.

I have a 98 Avant2.8 qms. I don't have the winter pack
so to the right of my emergency flasher is a little storage
compartment. Is the indicator small enough to fit in here.
The box pulls out so mounting wouldn't be too difficult if the
unit would fit in. This would be the ultimate spot. If you got
pulled over you could just flip the little dooor closed.
Anyone try it>?
Mark

I, too, placed the concealed display in the section behind the blank switches. I cut off sections of the back of the blanks so that I could still snap them back into place without interfering with the display itself. When I need to see it, I just pop them out.
