Does any body have any problems in the snow with a lowered vehicle? I lowered mine 1 1/2 inches and am worried about heavy snow falls like six or eight inches. Or should it not make any difference?

Chris Hlubb 12-24-1998, 12:27 PM I have a 2"+ drop on my A4 and jsut drove through 4' of snow this past evening and today. There was no prob at all, jsut amke sure you dont have z rubber on there, its really bad!!!! I had toput my stock Goodyears back on today and that helpred tremendously. Snow tires would be even better. I think once you hit the 6-8" range with a dropped A4 you turn into a Quattro snow plow!
Chris

my A4 page

Uzanak 12-24-1998, 02:11 PM I have lowered my avant with H&R springs and Bilstein shocks 1.5inches all around. I live in colorado and with Pirelli SS7000, I have no problem what so ever in cold weather we are having last week. Just be careful braking and you will have no problem....
Uzanak Ray Calvo 12-26-1998, 07:46 PM My old Coupe Quattro ran into clearance problems when the smow got more than about 18" deep (ran fine thru 12"" deep, even up & down hills). Since the Avant with Sport suspension is 1" lower than Coupe (measured both when was deciding on getting sport package), I expect to have problems with it in similar snow depths.
|
