If anyone has a stock A4 front brake disk please send me an email (TIA).
Update: I am trying to get a stock fit disk in order to have a perfect fit. The standard aftermarket disks flop around and are a general PIA. I would hate to have somebody's spouse trying to change a wheel with that nonsense on the highway somewhere. This requires a more complicated centerbore, but is no more expensive to machine if I can get a stock disk for them to CAD off.

I don't think those ordered today will have to wait as long. There seems to have been a delivery slowdown during the first quarter. Mine is light silver, 2.8L, quattro, Tiptronic, leatherette, trip computer, sun roof, sport steering wheel w/ Tip controls. I ordered at Park Ave. Audi (New York City) which is the only factory showroom in the U.S. Cars ordered there are delivered and serviced by Zumbach on the west side -- an inconvenient and crowded location. It was delivered in perfect condition. The "minor" changes made to the 99.5 model really add up to a much prettier car than the 99. It is quite striking -- more attractive than I expected. It had 20 miles on it when delivered. Now it's up to 62 miles. I still haven't gotten thru the owner's manuals yet and I'm not totally at ease with all the controls. There are bells and whistles all over the place that will take some time to learn about. So far I've driven mostly in heavy city traffic -- nervewracking to say the least in a new beautiful car. Dirty trucks, bicycle delivery boys, etc. coming within inches of you while you're unable to move at all. The trip computer says my average speed (I think it means since last fueling) is 15 MPH. I park in a crowded commercial garage and I cringe at the thought of how often and how vigorously the garage attendants move the cars around and how closely they park them to each other. I'm sure it will be dinged soon -- I'm bracing myself to just accept it as part of living in the big apple.

Thanks for the details, sounds beautiful. NYC seems like a bad place to have a nice car. I remember being there a few years ago and my friend and I were remarking on how beat up all the cars looked. Hope you can keep it clean.
Mike
