As some of you may know I've had a slight pinging problem with my 99 1.8T since getting the Neuspeed chip...Anthony at GreedSpeed had the guys at Neuspeed turn my timing back a tad from where they normally put it...well the car would still ping but only occasionally.
In order to completely eliminate the pinging I've decided to change my plugs out for ones with a colder temperature range...I bought a set of Beru Ultra from GreedSpeed for $20.00 here's for the question how many foot pounds of torque is appropriate for the plugs on the A4 1.8T I don't wanna take any chances with an aluminium head. Does anyone know the factory spec...I called one dealer and they tried to interrogate me as to why I was changing my own plugs on a 99' :) I just told him I have my reasons. Anyhow he said just slightly tighter than hand tight.

As I posted when I did the Bosch Platin plugs, the factory manual spec's 22 (twenty two) ft lbs.
You can feel the washer compress! even tho it doesn't seem like much torque, remember it is an aluminum head !!!
