Ok I have a 99 european version Passat 1.8T I know that this should be on the other forum but I know Audi's have the exact same problems so I want a solution and everyone to help each other out. Ok well let me tell you what are my four problems with my turbo timer witch is a blitz that matches beautiful purple dash perfectly.
FIRST and most important the keyless entry does not work when ignition is on for those keyless entry programmers how can you disable this so that keyless entry works even when car is on????
SECOND: Parking lights, on european cars you put the turn signal on and the side where you put the turn signal on the parking lights turn on basically a constant low low beam in front and in back well to put the parking lights on now I have to wait till the car turns off otherwise normal blinking turn signal turns on and mantains itself even after car turns off so people in the road think I am going tu turn into them while there is no one in the car and it is parked.
Third: Sometimes I turn car off and want to turn it back on before countdown so I have to turn the timer off and on again. Also stupid valet and carwash drivers try tu turn car on while still on and I get that weird grinding starter sound which makes me want to kill them. This would be impossible with the security of the ignition Audi/VW has which makes you go all the way back and try again but does not work with turbo timer.
Fourth: had to say this Dealer told me turbo timer voids turbo warranty who do I write because I understand and manual reccomends leaving car on for 30 seconds plus turbo timer has nothing to do and does not connect to turbo in any way it is completely electrical. Must be european VW complaint place not american
But VW/Audi made some very cool things for the timer first cannot move tiptronic transmission into D without key inserted so nobody can steel the car while timer is on not even to go straight. Also radio and other accessories turn off even when timer is on. Also very cool place to put it in bottom left hand corner fits perfect.
please if anyone has any fixes please talk to us I also have a 96 2.8 Manual A4
