Can I retrofit a 132Kw chip into a 110Kw chipped motor - What are the other differences - will I void my warranty - where do I go for the chip (apart from the factory)

The chip for the 180 bhp engine down under may be considerably different than the 150 bhp one. I would be careful...I think you should just get a chip that is made for the 110Kw car. Talk to Graham in Sydney about it.<p>Steve S.<br>97 2.8QM<p>

My dealer here in Melbourne told me that the 1.8T Quattro will now be 132kw (as of Feb 99), and the 1.8T FWD will be 110kw. The only difference apparently is the chip. So I don't see why you can't fit the 132kw chip in the current 1.8Ts.
