I'm thinking of getting an Lltek exhaust. Anybody have performance data or impressions on this upgrade or other systems? G tech? Where in the rev band is the power (if any) gained?
Call them they are helpful and honest. They will tell you (if i am not mistaken) that the power gain is on the low end...and you actually lose some power at high revs.
Scott
I decided to hold off.

1.8t or V6?
Two different beasts. The 1.8 will gain far more from an exhaust. The Brullen stainless exhaust is a work of art, with one exception. It is not mandrel-formed, according to lltek. This reduces its diameter in bends to a much smaller cross-section. If you want something durable and well-made go for them. If you want max power try another brand.
BTW. Their catalog says the most amazingly incorrect information about resonators I have ever read in my life. Wow, is it ever bad.

I don't mean to slander a paticular re-saler but this is a forum for A4 owners and enthusiasits not retailers so I'm gonna give-up my .02c. and not feel bad about it AT ALL.
IMHO LLtek don't know whats goin' on with these cars. Sure if you want to buy a ground effects kit, a wing, or some fake ass emblems they're your spot. But I would not buy exhaust, chips (which they have elected to stay away from?) and suspension parts from them.
I bought a grill from them. They sent me a grill that was so nasty I wanted shove it down thier throat. It didn't fit and had been touched up with black toudh-up paint in several spots. It sat totally crooked. I called and was like "dude, I don't have a ****en nissan sentra! How could you box a part like that up and send it to an A4 owner!!??"
I wanted to buy other things from them as well (shocks, swaybars, etc) but they couldn't be competitive with their pricing so I went elsewhere, plus after several conversations with them I was convinced that they don't know **** about A4s.
They did replace the grill w/out any hassles but the new one they sent me rusted in 2 weeks! now I have to take the grill in to be re-powder coated.
I also have a problem with their used-car-salseman-like tactics. They're always trying to push their **** on you, all the while telling you how no one elses stuff works right. For example, The dude lectures me for an hour on how chips for a 2.8 do nothing at all then he proceeds to try to convince me that his garbage strut tower brace is a must have item, on a car with a double firewall that weighs 3000lbs I DON'T THINK SO!
IMO Lltek is into making cheap mods that people buy because they know the more $200 parts they offer, the more they'll sell. They don't give a rats ass what works and what doesn't just that at the end of the day they've made $$$$$$$$$$$$.
Damon
98.5 30vAvant QMS, Ams Chip (that most defenatly works), K&N, cat back, H&Rs, Bilsteins, 18x8.5"A!SLRs, Recaro SRs.

I purchased some minor cosmetic upgrades from them. I bought some euro eyebrows and clear corner lamps. The paint job on the eyebrows was terrible. The side of the eyebrows wasn't even painted (I could still see the black plastic) and there were bubbles on the top front surface. I phoned them and asked how they paint their parts and who does it for them. They told me they put a total of 5 layers of base coating, paint and clearcoat, All performed at a dealer. Whatever. Could they tell me more BS? I mean, by what i'm holding in my hand the eyebrows barely even have ONE coating on.
And now for the corner lamps. Firstly, before I purchased them, I precisely asked if they would fit my car and they guaranteed me a perfect fit. Well, when I received them they were pieces of ****. The lamp is just one hazy/fuzzy piece of plastic. The plastic is so poor that the lense wasn't even clear. Not only that, the glue used to glue the lamp housing with the lense wan't white, but a brown-specked goop. AND, the lense didn't fit. I phoned the guy and he said that it was only my car that was having problems. He blamed everything on me and kept saying that my car was at fault. He sent me a replacement lamp, but he sent the passenger's side lamp not the driver's side as I had asked. I phoned Steve at LLTek to tell him of the error and he tried to blame the mistake on me, again! Finally, when I got the correct replacement lamp, it was still the same quality, didn't fit, etc. PHoned Steve again, he again blamed me for not knowing how to install the damn lamp, blamed my car for being not to spec, and just wasn't very pleasant to talk to. I asked for a refund, he said 20% restocking fee. I said no way cuz it states in the catalog that defective parts are refundable. We argued on the phone. I said fine, just give me my money back. I mailed him back my 2 lamps. A month later, I receive one of the lamps at my door. What the ****? Steve is one ****ing moron. I specifically stated for a refund on the phone and with a note in the box. I re-mailed the lamp back to him, with the words "refund" written all over the box. Over a month later, I get a refund slip in the mail. BAstards charged me restocking fee AND mailing costs.
So there you have it. I've even left out most of the details (if you can believe it from the long message above). There were a lot more agony and arguing on the phone and crap from LLTek than I mentioned.
So STAY AWAY FROM LLTEK!!!
SleepyA4

LLtek has been very responsive to me in the order I did with them. I had an order for clear corner lamps from another vendor...and it was taking over 2 weeks...still no ETA for the lenses...then I called Steve and Mark and got them in about four days, for less money. Regarding the quality of the lenses...mine had to be slightly modified but I got them to fit fine. They also were very kind to the NorCal A4 owners club by donating a heap of stuff for our NorCal/SoCal event. Thanks LLtek.
Steve S.
97 2.8QM
