I fairly large stone hit the windshield of my car causing three very small "pits" in the glass. The pits are each approximately 1 mm in diameter (or less) and have barely scrathed the surface (lloks like small white spots from the exterior). Is there a way to buff out these pits without damaging or scratching the rest of the windshield? Or is this an item that would be covered in my Audi Advantage 3-year repair coverage?<p>Thanks for your insights.<br>

I have not had good luck with a product from J. C. Whitney, but others have mentioned a glass polishing kit available from the Eastwood Corp., I believe.

Seeing that most polishing is removing excess material, is it really wise to polish an already thin windshield?<p>-henri
