I installed one on my 97 1.8t. <br>Insulation # 8DO-863-825-H<br>Clips 17 needed # 811-863-905-D-01C<br>Screws 17 #811-864-809-01C. It¹s kind of<br>expense @ $83.81 shipping included, but it may help the paint. It¹s easy to install, though I had to push some of the screws pretty hard to get them to seat properly. Clair called it a noise suppressor?<br>They knew all the part numbers. Engine still growls plenty. 1-800-354-5100.

Perhaps ther isn't any there for a reason.<br> Like heat build up. Do you really want to make it hotter in the engine bay?<br>

I am looking to make the interior of my 1.8T quieter though. Anyone have any experience with this? Actually, I think I'll start a new thread on it.
