A while back I had some problems with Cutter Motors in Santa Barbara. I wasn't pissed off that they couldn't fix my rattle. I was pissed off that the "Courtesy Shuttle" forgot to pick me up twice. I was waiting outside my office for over 2 hours. I called 3 times. The third time I called I spoke with Dan the service writer. He said I should have called earlier and now they couldn't pick me up and there was no record of me calling the first 2 times. On a seperate occasion we got our oil changed there and they forgot to reset the SERVICE light. So, we've been driving 100 miles to Ogner in Woodland Hills for service. Well, I was out of town on business and my girlfriend wanted to get the recall taken care of and an oil change. She didnt feel like going all the way to Ogner so she called Cutter. Dan the service writer told her to go to Ogner and refused her business because we gave him a poor rating on the after service survey. In her words, "He was a real prick".
Think I should make this guys life hell? Contact the owner of Cutter or Audi customer service?
Perhaps there is a legal avenue for me to take? They refused to honor a recall.

I've dealt with this guy Dan also. He's real bent on the service survey, he complained to me about not giving him a perfect rating. Cutter has never serviced my car once without forgetting to do something. I live 60 miles north of SB so they are my closest dealer also.
I did not buy my car there as the salesman never would return my call.
Call AOA and the owner and let them have it!
Richard G
Interesting... well not really. When I first
started looking for an A4, I stopped by Cutter.
They are worthless. The guy, forgot his name,
said, "well, got those 3 A4's out there...".
I needed a 1.8Tquattro. "welp, don't have
one". uh huh... how long does it take to order
one? "could take a while", hmmm, sell many audis?
"nope, not really" got any coming in? "yes, i'm
sure we do, but don't have that info right now."
can you check and call me back? "sure"
never talked to cutter again.
on another note, i have a friend who bought a
boxter and another with a benz 450SL from cutter.
they have both complained quite a bit
about cutter's sales and service.
i'm not looking forward to servicing my new A4
at all, whether it be local at cutter, or 50-100
miles away in LA
You know from this guy's reaction that bad survey results are affecting his pay. But instead of realizing that they need to do a better job to get a better rating, they do the same lousy job and then bitch about people who give them lousy ratings.
Amazing. Go to AoA, don't bother with anyone at Cutter because they're not going to change just for you.
