I have the oem audi winter mats from Clair. I got them a couple weeks ago and decided to finally (after airing the stink out) put them in for a test run. On the underside they do have "areas" that line up with the anchors in the ground. But is it just me, but I can't seem to get the anchor into the rubber hole on the bottom of the mats???
Thanks
Jason

This is at least the second time someone has mentioned the smell of their new winter mats. I bought mine from Clair about a month ago and they had no smell whatsoever. Do I have the same mats as everyone else?
Again, these are supposedly the Audi mats from Clair. These are black rubber mats and they have the four rings logo on them. They are not deep at all and are merely a cover for the floor, not so much a bin for holding rain/mud/snow.
I know the LLTek mats are deeper -- I'm not asking about these or other brands, just the ones from Clair. Anyone know if they are all the same, or maybe I got different ones? I had hoped they would have a deeper lip.
Mine too aren't deep...they fit nicely into place..i just can't get those damn anchors to lock onto the holes on the bottom of the mat. The smell maybe an acquired aroma =)...I just know that when I first openned the box..bam...i was unconscious...it really is only a rubber type smell...nothing crazy.
Jason

The original anchors fit, it just takes a lot of elbow grease. A bit of spit helps too.

Gary B
1.8tqms
