I am considering purchasing a 99.5 A4 QMS. I live in Dallas Fort Worth area. There are only two Audi dealers. I have talked to both of them and I did not seem to be able to get the price I wanted. I have seen a lot of posting in this forum about the 99.5 A4 pricing. A lot of them suggested $1000 up to 5% over invoice. Most of these prices came from the NJ, Bay area and other northern parts of the country. When I suggested this kinds of pricing to my dealers, they did not take it seriously at all, quoting the supply demand situation in this area and all other usual worthless sales talks. It seems that people in the north are getting better deal than us in the south. If somebody puchased an Audi A4 in Dallas/Fort worth, please be kind enough to share your buying experience. I may also considering out-of-state purchase. Can anybody share their experiences with that also? How do you get the paperwork done? How do you pay for it? How do you take delivery? How do you get service? So on and so forth.
Pete
'89 Honda Accord manaul 140K miles
Want Audi A4 my next car

Pete, Try East Holamn Motorcars in Jackson, MS. Ask for Bob Lester and tell him that Mike Murray sent you. I have a car on order with them as we speak. I am in Austin and will not buy in Texas.
If Jackson is too far for you, try Kevin Zoloba at Harris Audi in Baton Rouge, LA.
I can recommend both of these dealers highly; although, I must say that Bob at East Holman has bent over backwards to help me.
Do not buy from Don McGill in Houston. Do not even bother with them. They do not deal with customers ethically, IMHO. The best price in Texas came from Gordon Spencer at Charles Maund Audi in Austin (5.5% over), but I am buying from East Holman, which is 470 miles from me...you figure it out.
E-mail me if you need more info, as I just mailed my deposit on Saturday, and I have been researching this car longer than I can remember.
The usual disclaimers apply. I am just an Audi fan/consumer, like all of you, and I don't get any money from anybody associated with these cars.

I HAVE FRIENDS IN THE BUSINESS, AND WILL GET YOU THE BEST PRICE WITHIN REASON, ALTHOUGH PRICE IS NOT EVERYTHING..SERVICE, ABILITY TO ASSSIST AFTER THE SALE..ETC...I HAVE BOUGHT, WITH MY FRIENDS..A COMBINED SEVEN CARS FROM A GUY, I WILL BE HAPPY TO GIVE HIS NAME AND NUMBER, ALONG WITH SOME OF MY FRIENDS NAME AND NUMBER IF YOU WANT TO CHECK THE LEGITIMACY OF MY POSTING, HE IS IN THE DALLAS AREA AND WILL TREAT YOU RIGHT, YOU HAVE MINE AS WELL AS SEVERAL OTHERS WORD ON IT. AS FAR AS PRICING, THE DEMAND IN DALLAS IS NOT ANY HIGHER, IT JUST SEEMS THAT WAY, BECAUSE THERE ARE FEWER CARS, BUT THIS GUY WILL GET YOU THE CAR YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AT THE PRICE THAT IS FAIR.

Is it really worth it to go so far out and take up some much time just to save $500.00-1000.00. You need to keep in mind after the sale. What if you have something wrong with the car at the time of pick-up and it is not a warranty item that can be repaired at your local Dallas dealer at no charge to you(scratch-dents-missing items). And also Dallas dealers may not give out loaners for service unless you purchesed the car from they. Is it really worth it?
