Wow, guys...after reading the horror story in the "lemon" website for the BMW 7 series, I am thoroughly "impressed" by that car company...Imagine, paying all that money for status, and get nothing but cow manure on one's face. The man sounded so patient; I would have punched someone out already. I currently has a beautiful green passat(1998), and the vw dealer(who also services my car) has been nothing but helpful and courteous (sometimes I think they baby my passat as much as I do):
A brief list:
1)The service manager always buff out any minor scratches when he sees one, or when I ask for it removed...without charge;and these are all from just driving/living scratches!! (I think he knows how much I hate imperfections)..hehehe
2) I get a loaner (usually another passat or a new beetle, whichever I want) if my car's service takes longer than an hour and a half
3) I get coffee and danish when I wait (though I hate coffee)...they even offer me juice when I told them I hate coffee
4) My car is always washed, and dried...sometimes I have to tell them not to wash it, because I wash my car quite frequently
5) Never any attitude when I complain of anything (and I have had only one---the fab for the door sometimes just do not work)...they gave me a new fab
6)when I told them my rear brakes squeaked (at only 7000 miles), they gave me a bulletin from VW to read, which explained the reason for the squeak. And the service manager assured me that they would check anyway, when I brought the car in for the 1 year schedule maintenance (when the tires/wheel gets switched around)
7) while I wait (less than 1.5 hr), I get to play with all the new vw models in the showroom, and NO salesman ever bother or harass me for anything (maybe because I have the "passat owner" thing written all over my smile)
It's generally a very fun experience and I must say I am very pleased with my vw dealer...this is the only thing which would prevent me from getting an A4 a year from now; I really like my vw dealer, and they are ready to deal with me on a new Passat V6....Do any of you guys have a great story about an A4 dealer? I really don't want to leave my vw dealer, and then possibly find my self in an awful situation with an Audi dealer (though the A4 is an awsome car, who knows about the dealers...right?) I feel really sorry for the guy with the 7 series...he really got ripped off. And I hope no VW/Audi DEALER EVER MAKE IT on that website.
regards---
Mike Lou

I'll hit the mileage limit long before the time limit. I already have around 9000 miles and I've only had it since the middle of November.
Kirk
