I am sure I am not the first to have this harebrained idea, but is it plausible/possible to use the Turbo set up from the TT (the 225 bhp model) and place it under the hood of and A4 1.8 T ?<p>Certainly the engines are similar (but its possible that internal design might be slightly different). I am amazed that they can stuff 1.8 bar into that engine while most A4 chips top out at about 1 bar.<p>Also I believe that the engine is mounted transversely in the TT but longitudinally in an A4 although I do not see how that would make it more difficult to put a second intercooler.<p>BTW Does the TT use a K03 turbo or some other type ?<p>It seems that 1.8T owners might have the benefit of upgrading to a more powerful engine while still using Audi parts although I am not sure what that would entail and importantly what it might cost.<p>Perhaps there is some aftermarket company that is doing something very similar ?<p>Just miscellaneous ramblings on a Monday morning - brain has not warmed up yet.<p>Dmitry<br>
