I finally got my winter mats from Clair for my 98.5, and had a quick question. Are they not supposed to screw into the little anchors in the carpet? They do have some little holes, but they're too small for my anchors. Maybe there are different mats for different model years? Clair had sent me A6 mats by mistake - they had the little screw things, but their spacing on the passenger side was wrong. I kind of wish I had kept the A6 mats - using 3/4 anchors is better than 0/4!
Thanks,
Eric

I asked yesterday and there weren't really any responses that answered it, but after looking in the archives it seems to me that most people have this same problem. I use my winter mats to replace my regular mats around this kind of season, but it appears that a lot of people put their mats on top of their regular ones. Regardless, I haven't been able to force the anchors into those "holes" on the bottom of the winter mats. But it still doesn't seem like it will slip and slide anywhere so I'm not that concerned. Also, if it does get all messy with water, etc...it would be a lot easier sliding the mat out and dumping the water off without those anchors attached. I figure if it's a pain to get it on...it must be a b%t$h to get off. All in all, I'm happy with it's durability and perfect fit.
Jason
98.5 1.8T pearlescent
