Can anyone help me out with how to get behind the glovebox? I'm not sure about the way to dismantle things to get into this area.

Brad Bilut 03-17-1999, 03:45 PM Take everything out of your glove box.
Open glove box and feel on the sides for a level on each side. These levers needs to be push up and the box with drop completely out of the way. They are spring loaded so you have to push pretty hard.
Brad Bilut 98.5 A4 2.8Qtip Stebro EP 03-17-1999, 05:14 PM Thanks for the tip. While at the dealer, I came across another neat part for the '99. next to the handbrake and immediately below the shift, there is yet another misproportioned cavity. When I put the carphone in the spot formerly occupied by the cupholders, I thought I'd have to live without any. Well, Audi has a part that takes up that thin slot location with a two cupholder piece. Looking at the dealers microfiche or computer parts program, there are ALOT of pieces that we don't see in our cars, perhaps for the european market that are very cool. |
