Does anyone know how I can stop a rattle in the door pillar? This inconvenience has plagued my 99 A4 avant since it left the showroom. Audi has yet to be of help!!!

I assume you're talking about the B-pillar. To me it sounded like a rattle. What it was in my case was the black metal outercover of the b-pillar was rubbing against the inside rim of the door opening (at the top-backside). If I opened that back window, my sound would go away. My fix was to spray a small amount of silicone spray around the top edge of the metal cover where it touched the rubber/plastic inside lining of the door opening. hope this works for you - it worked like a charm for me.<p>Tom<br>1.8TQMS Silver/Ecru
