I installed PIAA 1200 driving lights into the lower outside grills--similar in position to the A6. It took some creative fitting but they sit flush and look OEM. Their round shape spice up the plain front end.

I too am interested in doing this? Did you have to have a pro do this for you? If so how much total? If you did it yourself you should write it up for to be posted in the FAQ.
Thanks,
Jason
98.5 1.8T pearlescent

No--unfortunately no pictures. The typical wiring portion was easy. The physical install was tricky and I really did it by trial and error. With the grills off I located and marked the location where I wanted them positioned in the opening. There are not alot of options since the grill attachment points are in the way. Mine are positioned far to the outside similar to the A6. There is not alot of area to the grill opening and if mounted there the light sticks out. To get them to sit flush I made a bracket from ABS plastic to extend the attachment point farther back inside. First the bracket I made was fitted---then to this the light was mounted. Once mounted just line up a center point on the grill and score an outline to match the outer diameter of the light. Cut and shape accordingly with any multipurpose cutting tool.
