Anyone else think that this is the case, because I'd been getting barely 17 for the entire summer and the last two weeks (driving w/ AC off 80% of the time), it now is a little over 18? (12v fwd, manual). I'm in Houston, and really have only been driving in the morning to work (cool still) or in the evening (no sun)--this is about as early in the year that AC can be turned off here.

Three things happening:
Engine now has 6700 mi....may be broken in better.
A/C being used MUCH less
Switched from Texaco premium to Shell premium at 5000mi...dunno if this was a factor.
I really like the extra 3mpg so I am not going to be picky & fool around to find what did what...I'll just enjoy my newfound "economy!" :)
steve

Steve,
Luxury and Sport if you want it to be........the only combo that would beat that is the (hopefully) coming V8 A6. That'll have more luxury AND it'll be quicker.
BTW, you simply have to get an ECU chip for your car! With the FWD Tip, the chip makes me as fast, if not faster than a manual from 0-60. On the highway, there are very few sports sedans (except the BMW 540i and the M3) that can overtake me.
Rick
