I looked over my wheels today, just like most people who will put on their snow tires soon.
Has anyone else noticed that the H&R Race Springs preserve very little tire clearance at full turns (locked steering wheel). I'm running 225/45-17, so I should be at the stock diameter... am I missing something? Or are the Race springs just so low this should be expected? Seems like a major risk with an apex or near-apex compression load at the front end... ideas?
Just trying not to coat my fenders in Z-rated rubber.
Cameron
I have the same setup and have noticed that there is very little room for turn in but this is to be expected with the amount of the drop given. I really didnt expect much more. As far as rubbing on turn in it has never happened to me but I think it may under a very hgard turn that included a large bump. But most of this depends on your shocks. If youa re running on stock shocks with these springs than there will be a problem, but I am running Koni sport on medium and have yet to have rubbed at all. I have autocrossed 5 times so far with this setup and have yet to rub on any apex or turn and autox courses are very tight and sometimes bumpy.
Chris
