I simply don't want my car to sound like a souped up Honda Civic. I live in California and I see and hear tons of these silly sounding cars buzzing around town...they sound as if they've got loose marbles running around in thier exhaust. Does the Scorpion exhaust do this??? are there any particular brands I should stay away from if I don't want this zippy sounding exhaust???
I have the scorpion exhaust on my 1.8T and am very happy with it.. Sounds is not too loud while cruising on the highway, but very nice deep sound when you push it..
It is no way compare to the sound of a souped up civic.. Being a previous owner of a souped up civic, I can say that the scorpion exhaust is very classy..
Dmak 1.8TQMS

have scorpion on my 98-30v-sounds great-unnoticeable at idle and just strong deep tones at speed-not obnoxious at all!
I had the Scorpion on my 30V and it was so loud between 1700-3100RPM you couldn't even have a conversation. Lots of resonance in the cab. Did you also have a low restriction air filter? I hear that the combination of both can sometimes cause this. It was great sounding as far as tone, but too loud for daily driving. I lost all of my low end and only really felt any benefits over 4500 RPM. I felt it was stricitly a track pipe. I threw my stock exhaust back on after about a month. I considered cutting in a Borla resonator to try and retrieve some low end and tone it down a little but never got around to it. Those huge twin tips did look bad-ass though!
